Wilson High School Profile
Welcome to historic Wilson High School! Wilson High School was founded in 1866 as a Freedman's Bureau School following the American Civil War. Our school's mission from the beginning has been to develop in all students the knowledge, skills, and character to achieve personal success. At Wilson High School, we offer a wide variety of activities including a Middle Years Program and a Diploma Program as part of our International Baccalaureate World School, Advanced Placement courses, and Dual Credit classes. In the fall of 2016, Wilson High School started an Early College Program in which students will graduate high school with an Associate’s degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College and be even better prepared for the workforce or college.
Wilson High School is helping all students develop the world-class skills, life and career skills found in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing a rigorous education in safe surroundings that prepare students for a college education or the workforce. We are able to offer our diverse student body a first-class education by constantly challenging them to become better students and leaders.
