Teacher of the Year Promoted to Assistant Principal

Kevin George

Dr. Kevin George received his B.S. in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry and Sociology from Francis Marion University.  He continued his educational training at Francis Marion University and completed a MEd. in Teaching Students with Learning Disabilities.  In February of 2016, he completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University.  His research study focused on determining the impact of Corrective Feedback on the off-task/on-task behavior of Special Needs Students.  In July of 2017 Dr. George completed his Administrative certification through Lamar University.

Professional Experience:

He has served as an Educator in Florence School District One for 16 years as a Science Instructor and Special Needs Instructor.  Dr. George has also served as a University Supervisor, Mentor teacher in the Teacher Preparation Program of Walden University.  A devoted husband and father of two, Dr. George values family and believes strongly in learning from mistakes and leading by example.
