Scholarship Memo #4 Now Available

Palmetto Boys and Girls State

Are you a junior? Are you a student that wants to learn how government works while developing leadership skills and an appreciation for your rights as a citizen? If your answer is yes, please stop by Ms. White's office to pick up a self-nomination form for Palmetto Boys or Girls State. The process is new this year. Palmetto Boys and Girls State will be held June9-15, 2019. Deadline to return applications is Friday, February 15.


Spring ASVAB Test Date

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be given at Wilson on Tuesday, February 12, in the auditorium. There is a sign-up sheet in the school counseling office for all interested 11th and 12th graders. You can practice for the ASVAB by going to March2Success.com


Attention Seniors!

Please turn in copies of your acceptance letters to Ms. McCullough in the school counseling office. 


Advanced Placement Exams

Any student who would like to take an AP exam, the cost of each exam will be $94. Please pay Mrs. Harker and bring your receipt to Mrs. Williams-Shaw's office (room 182). The deadline to submit your payment is Friday, March 1, 2019.


Civil Rights Museum and College Tour

Interested students can sign up in the School Counseling Office to attend to International Civil Rights Museum and take a college tour of North Carolina A&T on Friday, March 1, 2019. The cost is $40 and space is limited to 21 students. 


Harvard Student Ambassador Visit

A representative from Harvard University will be on Wilson's campus on Friday, January 25, at 10:00 AM. Interested 9th-11th graders can sign up in the School Counseling Office to attend. 


Duke Summer Sessions Now Open

Duke Summer Session applications are now open. Through participating in one of the three transformative summer programs at Duke University, students will experience Duke's commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. Applications for Duke Summer Sessions are available by clicking this link. See your counselor for more information.


SAT/ACT Waivers

If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, you are eligible to receive fee waivers for the SAT and ACT, as well as, college applications. See Ms. McCullough in the school counseling office for more information.


Sallie Mae College Planning Website

The Sallie Mae College Planning website offers tools for researching colleges, scholarships, financial aid, and payment options.
