Until 09/19/2019: SchooLinks Parent Night: WF has scheduled the first SchooLInks Parent Night on Thursday, September 19th at 6:00 P.M in the media center. Parents and students can learn how to navigate SchooLinks and the course planner. We will be using SchooLinks for all Individual Graduation Plans this year. This ia a great time to come and learn how to use this college and career tool.
Until 09/20/2019: PSAT - Attention sophomores and students taking the PSAT in October: On Monday, September 23rd, you will begin precoding your PSAT answer sheet with your advisory teacher. Your student ID number located on your WF ID is needed to complete the answer sheet, so make sure you have your school ID with you on Monday. You will also need a Number 2 pencil with an eraser.
Until 09/20/2019: WF Homecoming Dance: Attention Knights! The 2019 Homecoming Dance is coming up on Saturday, September 21! The dance will be held in the WF Mall Area from 7:00-10:00 P.M. The theme is Knights on Deck! The dress is casual, and all outfits must meet school dress code. Tickets will be on sale in the mall area staring Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19 during ALL lunches! Tickets are $5 each. Any student from any grade level can purchase a ticket to the dance. Get ready for a night of dancing and fun under the sea!
Until 09/23/2019: School Pictures: On Monday, September 23rd, all 9-11th graders will take pictures.
Until 09/24/2019: Summer Trip: Would you like to visit the British Isles and Paris this summer with your classmates? Well you can if you come to the parents meeting on Tuesday, September 24th at 6:30 P.M. in the Media Center. Coach Wegmann is taking students on a trip of a lifetime this summer. Just scan the QR codes on the flyers about England, Ireland, and Scotland that are posted around WF. If you have questions, visit Coach Wegmann in room 250-C for more information.
Until 09/25/2019: SAT/ACT Workshop: The SAT/ACT Workshop will take place on Thursday, September 26th during the school day. Cost is $50. Please see the School Counseling department for questions and to sign up.
Until 09/25/2019: Attention seniors: Jostens will return on Wednesday, September 25 from 11:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. for your final graduation order. Be sure to bring your order form and deposit of $60 at this time. You can also order online at www.rhodesgraduation.com
Until 09/26/2019: NHS Members: HS members need to be sure they are checking the NHS Google classroom. The service project for September is due on Friday, September 27th.
Until 09/27/2019: HOSA: Are you a future healthcare professional? If so, HOSA is the club for you! Come by Mrs. Barrera’s classroom in Mobile 17 or Mr. Heim’s classroom in 125-B for more information and sign-up forms. They will begin taking dues for all students and the deadline is Friday, September 27. We will be offering healthcare related certifications this year. Don’t miss out on the great opportunities in HOSA at WF.

Until 10/01/2019: Writing Workshop for seniors: WF will be offering a Writing workshop for all seniors who are beginning to work on college application essays and scholarship essays. The workshop will be held on Thursday, October 1st from 2:00-4:00 in the media center. Several of our English teachers will be leading the workshop along with Dr. Nelson, Associate Professor of English as well as Co-Director of the Center of Excellence for College and Career Readiness at Francis Marion University. All seniors are invited to attend.
Until 10/03/2019: Attention Seniors: FMU will be on campus for Immediate Decision Day on October 3rd. If you would like to meet with a counselor, have your application fee waived, and find out that day whether you're accepted, you'll need to sign up for a time slot on Google Classroom (link below). You will receive a pass the day before the interviews with your appointment time to present to your teacher. Interviews should last around 15 minutes. If you have questions, please stop by the School Counseling Department to speak with Deanne Frye.
