Attention: Prom Committee Members - Prom committee will meet every Friday morning at 8:00 A.M. in Ms. Byrd's room until further notice. Please arrive early enough to go through the metal detectors.


Until 01/17/2019: Attendance Appeal - If you need to complete an attendance appeal or even think you may need one, please see Ms. Cooper in Attendance. The deadline is Thursday, January 17th.


Until 01/17/2019: Yearbook - Anyone interested in taking Yearbook next year needs to see Mrs. Moore in room 225-B for an application.


Until 01/18/2019: Allen University Representative: A representative from Allen University will be here Friday, January 18th from 11:45 am until 2:00 pm to answer questions about college admissions, scholarships, academic programs, and any other questions you may have about Allen University.  Please stop by the school counseling office to speak with them on Friday.


Until 01/22/019: Future Business Leaders of America - The FBLA club will meet at 3:45 P.M. in the Home Economics kitchen (V-4), Coach Fullard’s room, on Tuesday, January 22nd. Please be punctual!


Until 01/22/2019: Schedule Adjustments - Attention all students: The last day to request a schedule adjustment for the second semester is Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  All adjustment forms MUST be returned to your school counselor by 8:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  This is a VERY FIRM DEADLINE!!!


Until 01/22/2019:  Scholarship Opportunity - The South Carolina Association of Title 1 Administrators will award 18 scholarships for deserving students.  Qualifying seniors have the opportunity to compete for a $2,000 or one of two $1,000 scholarships. Applicants must be eligible for free, reduced, or paid lunch based on current USDA eligibility criteria.  Qualifying seniors need to see Mrs. Raniszewski as soon as possible to pick up an application. The application deadline is January 22, 2019.


Until 01/28/2019: WF Boys’ Tennis - Boys’ tennis tryouts begin on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 3:45 on the back courts. You must have a current athletic physical to participate.


Until 01/31/19: Attendance Recovery - Attendance recovery has been extended until Thursday, January 31st.

Until 01/31/19: Scholarship Opportunity - The South Carolina Association of Extension Administrative Professionals (SCAEAP) offers a $1000 scholarship to students pursuing a career in the secretarial/computer science or business management field. Scholarship applications are located on the scholarship board located outside the school counseling office.


Until 02/01/2019: Seniors:  Deadline for Grad Order Balances Due by Friday, February 1st. Visit to check order status and to make a payment. See Mrs. Susan Dixon in V3 if you have any questions.  


Until 02/01/2019: Round Table Readers - If you are interested in reading awesome books, stop by the library during your lunch period on Friday, February 1st for our first meeting for the 2019 school year! We will be reading Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum, so stop by to pick up the featured book. We hope to see you there!

Attention sophomores and juniors: If you are interested in learning more about Clemson University, College of Charleston, and the University of South Carolina, you and your families are invited to attend an information session on Monday, February 11th at 6:30 P.M. at Osbornes. Sessions will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, and you will cover topics such as admissions requirements, deadlines, scholarships, academic programs, and more. Representatives will be available both before and after the event for individual questions. Students need to RSVP at

Until 03/05/2019: Florence Career Center Tour - The Florence Career Center will host a tour on March 6, 2019, for parents of high schools students at Florence 1 high schools; students do not have to be enrolled in a FCC course for parents to tour. Two tour times will be scheduled: 9:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. Parents who are interested in observing our FCC classes in action as well as opportunities for your students may RSVP. Space is limited.
