Florence 1 Schools new college and career-ready interface
Students in Florence 1 Schools have a new way to track their progress in high school and lay out their college and career goals. SchooLinks is a college and career readiness platform built for the 21st Century student. With SchooLinks, students are able to explore their interests, find what colleges and careers are the best fit for them and create a personal plan for graduation and beyond. This program is available for 9th-12th grade students in all Florence 1 High Schools and their parents. All of the SchooLinks features are designed to be user-friendly and engaging, helping students prepare for college, career and life in a way that feels relevant to them. Using virtual reality, students can even take a tour of over 500 colleges and universities without leaving home.
Using SchooLinks, high school students and parents can:
● Explore 2-year and 4-year colleges
● Learn about options for financial aid
● Find internship and volunteer opportunities
● Explore a career in a variety of military fields
● Create digital portfolios / resumes
● Communicate with counselors
Using SchooLinks, 12th graders will be able to:
● Track college applications and request transcripts
● Request Letters of Recommendation

SchoolLinks Parent Information Night
A SchooLinks Parent Information Night will be held at South Florence High School on Thursday, November 15 at 6pm. Parents asked to meet in the auditorium. Students are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Maggie Gause, Director of Student Support Services, at (843) 673-1109.
