The Florence 1 Schools Extended Day Academy will be implementing a new reading program for 3K-5K. Students will receive a personalized book and learning pillow. Each hardcover book has fully illustrated color pages and is personalized to includes the child's name on every page.  Each book also includes the name of the school the child attends, along with the name of the literacy campaign sponsor, Florence 1 Schools Extended Day Academy.  Children are more excited about reading when the story is "all about them!"  Students will receive a new book each month for the remainder of the year.

• October: My First Day at School
• November: Little One, Little One
• December: My Christmas Wish

The learning pillow includes the child's first and last name and a variety of learning activities related to letters, numbers, shapes, and much more. The different learning activities on each side of the pillow will allow teachers to use the pillow in various ways several times a week.
