SFHS's Michael Lloyd is a 2026 Music Educator Award Quarter-finalist
South Florence High School band director Michael Lloyd is one of four South Carolina educators to be named a Quarter-finalist for the 2026 Music Educator Award. The award is presented as a partnership between the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs and the GRAMMY Museum, recognizing educators “who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education and who demonstrate a commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the schools,” according to the GRAMMY website. Semi-finalists will be chosen in September and the winner of the Music Educator Award will be recognized during GRAMMY Week 2026. Congratulations, Mr. Lloyd!
