Project SEARCH Signing Ceremony
The seventh class of Florence 1’s Project SEARCH program celebrated their upcoming internships last week during a signing ceremony with McLeod Health and Raldex Hospitality. Families gathered in the Yellow Jacket Room in the McClenaghan Building for the special night where students were each called up to receive their partner organization’s Project Search shirt before doing a ceremonial signing for their internship, which will take place during the 2025-2026 school year.
Project SEARCH started in Florence 1 in 2019 as a post-secondary opportunity for students to learn job skills in areas such as housekeeping, food service and surgery prep that will help them gain competitive employment in our community after high school. Over 20 students have gained employment after participating in the internship program.
