Project SEARCH Class of 2025
Last night was one for the history books!
During a ceremony in the McClenaghan Yellowjacket room, the Project SEARCH Class of 2025 signed letters of commitment for their upcoming internships with either McLeod Health or Raldex Hospitality. Thank you to all of the family members who came out in support!
Special thanks also to Matthew Peake with McLeod Health and Chad Patterson with Raldex Hospitality for helping us make this night so special for our students.
Florence 1 Transition Coordinator Kandee Shelor said that the signing night was emotional for a lot of the participants, their loved ones and district staff.
“This is the first time that we have been able to offer a signing day for our Project SEARCH students and their families,” Shelor said. “It was moving to see how excited the incoming interns and their families are about this opportunity. They recognize that Project SEARCH will open up so many doors to their future. I have known many of these students for years and watching them all sign their letters of commitment, I felt like a proud parent.”
