STEM Magnet Program at West Florence
Students who have high interest and aptitude in mathematics, science, and engineering and who have the ability and willingness to commit to a challenging academic program are encouraged to apply for the West Florence High School STEM Magnet Program. Entrance criteria have been established for admission to the school as a means of promoting student success. The criteria includes a review of grades, positive behavior traits, and attendance. Multiple criteria will be used for determining the potential for success in the program. The completed application must be submitted by March 7, 2025 at 4:00 PM.

Montessori at McLaurin Elementary
Montessori education is education for life by addressing the needs of the whole human being – spiritually, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Physically, children move from concrete
hands-on and sensory experiences to abstract levels of cognition. Mentally and emotionally through learning about physical and cultural geography and the fundamental needs of man, plants, and animals students discover the interconnectedness and interdependence of all life.

Language Immersion at Delmae Elementary
Our Spanish Language Immersion Program allows students to acquire a second language while further developing their native language. Providing the opportunity to learn a second language ensures that our students are growing to become responsible, productive members of our global community.
Through our dual language program, students are immersed in the Spanish language while following the same South Carolina standards and guidelines as all other students, giving students an opportunity to become bilingual citizens in our global community. Students spend 50% of their day learning grade level content in the area of ELA in English, and the other 50% learning grade level content in the areas of math, science, and social studies in Spanish.

IB/MYP at Williams Middle School and Wilson High School
Application for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB/MYP) for Williams Middle School (grades 6 - 8) and Wilson High School (grades 9 - 10) is open! This application is for the 2025-2026 school year. Submission of an application does not guarantee entry into the MYP program.
Applicants are responsible for submitting this application and notifying teachers of recommendations. Test scores, transcripts, etc are handled and processed by district staff.

Fine Arts Academy at Southside Middle School
The Fine Arts and Technology Academy provides opportunities for students to participate in rigorous coursework of their chosen disciplines. Students have the ability to specialize in band, chorus, dance, digital/media arts, orchestra, photography, piano, theater, and visual art. Through this program, students are provided experiences to work with like-minded peers, professionals in the field, and receive training to benefit the development of their craft. Students are also given extra opportunities for performance and skill development both inside and outside of the classroom.
The Fine Arts Academy at Southside Middle School offers opportunities in band, chorus vocal music, dance, digital and media arts, orchestra, photography, guitar, piano, theatre, and visual arts.
