New principal announced for Wallace-Gregg
The Florence 1 Schools Board of Trustees approved a new principal for Wallace-Gregg Elementary School Thursday night during their April meeting. Myah Woods, currently a principal in Richland County, will lead the foxes for the upcoming school year.
Woods has worked in several roles in education, including classroom teacher, assistant principal and principal. She also served as the Instructional Coach at North Vista Elementary School from 2017- 2019 where she facilitated small group instruction for students as well as professional development and coaching for teachers.
Woods holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, a Masters in Educational Leadership, as well as an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, all from Coastal Carolina University.
“I look forward to partnering with students, staff, families, and the entire community as we continue to build a positive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every student can thrive,” Woods said. “I am excited to rejoin the Florence One team!”
Michelle Wynn, F1S Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education, said that she is pleased to have Woods joining the district as an administrator.
