Knights Win Track and Field State Championship
West Florence High School Boys’ Track put in an incredible performance yesterday in the SCHSL State Championship, becoming the AAAAA D2 State Champions! Congratulations to these track athletes and to Coaches Rich Wideman and Philip Barr!
Kaleb Burroughs won three individual state titles in the 800, 1600 and the Javelin events. Burroughs also broke a state record, set in 1984, in the 800 with a time of 1:49.64, the 7th best time in the country.
Gage Herring brought home a title, winning the 110m High Hurdles.
Nate Bruce won an individual state title in discus.
