“Our goal is always to tell the story of our community and our students,” said Ashley Watson, Executive Director of Marketing for Florence 1 Schools. “We appreciate NSPRA for recognizing our efforts to not only keep our stakeholders informed but to give them insight into the amazing things our students and staff are doing each day in our buildings.”

Florence 1 Schools Superintendent Richard O’Malley said that he appreciates the Rewards For Excellence program highlighting just how important it is for school districts to be in touch with the communities they represent.

“In a world where sensationalism often dominates headlines, effective communication becomes the most powerful tool to combat the negative bias perpetuated against public schools,” O’Malley said. “I’m so proud of our staff and how hard they work to communicate through various mediums with our community. These awards are just another recognition of the special place Florence 1 is and the special people who make this school district a wonderful place to work.”
