F1S Bands Are Making History
🥁🎷🎺🥁𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Please help us congratulate them on their accomplishments! 🥁🎷🎺🥁
The Marching Tigers huddled together while Band Director Jarrod Deas encouraged them to, “leave it all on the field and give it their all”. And they sure did! Congratulations to Wilson High School's Marching Band for placing 2nd (silver medal) in the South Carolina Band Directors Association 3A/4A State High Step Marching Band Championships which were held at Wilson Stadium for the first time in over a decade. 💛💜
Meanwhile, West Florence High School's Marching Knights and South Florence High School Marching Bruins competed in the Olde English Festival of Bands in Rock Hill, which is the last competition before state championships next weekend.
West Florence was the 3A division champion (1st place) and earned a 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 evaluation. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀. Finals will occur tonight at 8:45 PM where the eight best bands compete regardless of division. 💛💚
