I have been teaching eighth grade science at Southside Middle School since August 2015, and have been the science department head here at Southside since August 2021. Prior to coming to Southside, I worked as a researcher in an immunology lab at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, working on projects dealing with autoimmune diseases such as diabetes and lupus in both cellular and animal models. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Clemson University in May 2009 and with a Master of Science in Microbiology/Immunology from the Medical University of South Carolina in May 2011.  I am grateful for the opportunity to work with my students!
