This is my 20th year in education.  I graduated from West Florence High School and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in education from Francis Marion University.  I began my teaching career in Darlington County School District.  I have previously taught Science and Math.  I currently teach Design & Modeling and Flight & Space, which are Project Lead the Way (PLTW) engineering courses.  I received my Engineering (PLTW) certification from University of South Carolina and my online teaching certification from Clemson University.  I am currently working on an additional Master's degree in STEM Education from Clemson University.  Teaching has always been a passion of mine.  It is most rewarding when former students return and tell me how much I prepared them for high school and life in general.  It gives me great joy to see them become successful and productive young citizens.  It is my hope to continue making a positive impact in the lives of my students by encouraging them to exhibit the greatness I know they possess.  Some of my favorite things to do include spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, and baking.
