I decided to become a teacher during my freshman year at South Florence High School. My English teacher that year had such a passion for English, learning, and students, that I wanted to be an inspiration like her. I took every English course that I could before I graduated from South Florence in 2004. I then went on to Francis Marion University where I majored in English and minored in History and Secondary Education. After graduating with a B.A. from FMU in 2009, I taught English at Sneed Middle School for 8 years before moving to Southside Middle School.   In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking care of my three cats, reading, and traveling.
