Mr. Hyman is the Director of Bands at Moore Middle School. He is currently in his 7th year of teaching and previously was the Director of Bands at Sneed Middle School.

Mr. Hyman is a native of Pelion, South Carolina and attended Pelion High School. Upon Graduation at the University of South Carolina, he received a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Music Education.

His students earned chairs in District, Region and All State Bands. The Sneed Middle School Concert Band also has earned Superior with Distinction, the highest rating a band can receive, at Concert Performance Assessment two years in a row. Mr. Hyman is also a highly sought after clinician throughout the state.

As well as being the Band Director at Moore, Mr. Hyman's other duties include being the Assistant Director of West Florence High School and the Bass Trombonist of the Florence Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Hyman’s professional affiliations include being a member of the South Carolina Band Directors Association, South Carolina Music Educators Association, and the International Trombone Association.

Mr. Hyman, in his down time enjoys being active outdoors as well as spending time with friends.
