Welcome to 8th Grade Science!

I am Kimberly Alexander and this will be my 15th year teaching middle school science, Fourteen of those years have been in 8th grade science  and one year in 7th grade science.  I have a BS degree in Chemistry from Francis Marion University and a Master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina.  In addition to holding my Gifted and Talented Endorsement, I regularly attend Roper Mountain's Science Plus Institute (science camp for teachers) to stay up to date on the latest science teaching methods.  When I am not at school, I enjoy cooking, reading, sewing and hanging out with my family.  My philosophy on middle schoolers is that they are in transition for these few years but are nowhere near the adults that they will become one day.  8th grade is the year to get our students ready for high school.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
