Master Sergeant Lawrence C. Adams, U.S. Air Force (Retired)

Born in Washington D.C. to Leonard and Louise Adams in 1956. Lived in Oxon Hill, Laurel and Bladensburg Maryland. Graduated Bladensburg High School in 1975 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in August 1975 and retired in 1995.

Enlisted as a Aircrew Egress Systems Mechanic working with aircraft escape and ejection systems. Assigned to Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. Volunteered for Instructor Duty at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul Illinois as an Aircrew Egress Systems Instructor. Served a 1 year tour of duty in Iceland as the shop superintendent working with F-15 and F-16 aircraft. Moved to Victorville California at George Air Force Base working with F-4 aircraft. Volunteered for Field training Detachment Duty as a Aircrew Egress Instructor for the F-4 and OV-10 aircraft. During base realignment was stationed at Mody Air Force Base as the Shop Superintendent working with F-16 aircraft.

While as a airman in the United States Air Force I worked on my Associate Degrees in Aircraft Accessory System Technology and Instructor of Aircraft Accessory Systems Technology through the Community College of the Air Force. Recieved a Bachelor's in Adult, Technical Trade and Industry Teaching Degree. Through Limestone College recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.

Upon Air Force retirement began a career as an Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp (JROTC) Instructor at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School training Cadets in Leadership, Managemment and Aerospace Science. Moved to Florence South Carolina to Wilson High School as a Air Force (JROTC) Instructor. Currently at West Florence High School serving the needs of the JROTC program as a Aerospace Science Instructor.
