This is my 14th wonderful year of teaching and I am excited about starting my 4th year as a Carver Bear. I began my career at Greenwood, and have held many positions since I started teaching during the 2009-2010 school year. I began my career as a 4th grade teacher, and then after two years, I moved down to teach 2nd Grade.  I loved both grade levels, but having spent 5 years teaching in 2nd Grade, I must say, my 2nd graders will always hold a special place in my heart.  I then became the Technology/STEM Lead Instructor for Greenwood, and loved this job just as much, because I was able to impact all students in Grades 1-6, rather than just my small number of 2nd grade students each year. I am ecstatic to be teaching the students in the SMART Lab and really look forward to a great 2020-2021 School Year! In the SMART Lab, we use a wide range of robotics, software, and tablet applications to enhance students' understanding of the STEAM World and help them prepare for their futures inside and outside the classroom. 

My educational background began when I received my Elementary Education Degree from the University of South Carolina in 2009, and in 2018, I received my Masters of Education with a specialization in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University.
