I was born in Charlotte, NC, and had the fortune of traveling the world with my parents while growing up. We eventually ended up in Georgetown, SC, where I attended High School. I attended Coastal Carolina University and graduated in 1999. Since my undergrad, I have received my Masters in Secondary Education and have completed most of doctorate courses.

I entered the teaching profession through an alternative certification program in 2001. My first year of teaching was at Johnson Middle School in Timmonsville, SC. Since 2002, I have been at Wilson High School. I have taught Integrated Science, Biology (CP, Honors, and MYP), Physical Science (CP & Honors), Physics (CP & Honors) and Chemistry (MYP & IB). This year I will be teaching MYP Chemistry and IB Diploma Chemistry.

I have two kids: a son, who is now married, and a daughter. I also have a dog who thinks she's human!
