This is my third year teaching at what is now the Advantage Academy. Previously, I taught for 5 years at Wilson High School.  I attended Winthrop University and graduated with a BS degree in Integrated Marketing Communication in May of 2005. I then received my Masters in Learning Disabilities from Francis Marion University in May of 2015.

While at Wilson, I launched and helped run a student-led coffeeshop business, Fill My Cup, that taught invaluable job skills to the students involved. I also organized the Very Special Prom for high school students in our school district.

We have launched Fill My Cup here at AA and it has been a huge success. I am looking forward to continuing that again this year with my incoming students! 

I am originally from Florence and am a graduate of South Florence High School. In my spare time, I am a mother of 3 little boys that keep me extremely busy. I am involved with the Little Miracles Learning Academy board, the PADD board and I like to spend my weekends cheering on athletes at the Florence County Miracle League whenever possible.
