My name is Mrs. Owens. I am a product of a school environment that was more a family than a school. I feel this mindset gives me great insight to the needs of students here at South. This is my 7th year of teaching. I love my South Florence family and I am so glad to be here. I enjoy my students and love watching them grow. The "ah-ha" moments make my job my passion. I have enjoyed learning new things and incorporating new technology in the classroom. We use reading and math online programs to enhance our skills. I teach Study Skills and Essentials of Science 1 Bio in 312. My classroom can be found in the new South Florence High School Freshmen Academy.
