My name is Shawn Dodd and this is my eleventh year at Dewey L. Carter. I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I am a graduate of Grand Canyon University where I obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and relaxing at Garden City Beach. Teaching children is my passion! My goal as a teacher is to provide an inviting, caring, safe environment and instill a love for learning in my students. I strive to be an educator that will make a difference in your child's life during our time together in second grade.  I love my job, my students and finding new and exciting ways to engage everyone in my classroom.  I am looking forward to an amazing year!
