Mrs. Davis

Hello, my name is Tracie Davis and I have been teaching for 26 years. I began my career in Sumter County School District Two where I taught for three years. While there, I taught first and fourth grade. I moved to Florence School District One in 2000 and began teaching at Savannah Grove Elementary, where I taught fourth grade until my move to Dewey L. Carter in 2006. Since I have been at DLC, I have taught second through fifth grade and now I'm teaching in the computer lab.

I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University. I also went on to earn my Masters in Technology in Education degree from Lesley University. I am continuously taking classes to further my education as well as learning new and innovative ways to teach my students every day.

I love to watch children grow and learn new things. When I was a child, I told everyone that I wanted to be a teacher. Here I am now, living my dream. I believe that all children can learn if they are given the opportunity and encouragement that they need. We as adults, whether it be as their teacher or parent, need to encourage them every day to do their best and strive to reach for the stars.
