Greetings! I am Stevie Dukes, and I am excited to be part of  Advantage Academy and Florence One Schools. I am retired from Santee Electric Cooperative with 35 years’ experience as a Lineworker.  While at Santee Electric, I earned a number of certifications and served as an instructor at the Hoyt L. Williams Training Center for Lineworkers in West Columbia, South Carolina for many years.

I am originally from Kingstree, South Carolina and received my formal education in the Williamsburg County School District and at Williamsburg Technical College.

Beyond my career and educational pursuits, I am Pastor of Lighthouse Way of the Cross Church and serve in our church’s international body – the Way of the Cross Church of Christ, International - in several capacities.  I am certified to use the Jobs for Life Curriculum to assist individuals with barriers to employment obtain and retain meaningful employment opportunities.  My hobbies are hunting, fishing, gardening, and canning.

I am married to Joette Rivers Dukes, and we have three sons – Terrence; Stevie, jr.; and Christian. I presently reside in Florence, South Carolina with my family.

I am looking forward to preparing the next generation of Lineworkers and to equipping them with the basic knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their careers as utility workers!
