I was born and raised in Florence and attended Florence 1 Schools. I graduated from South Florence and attended Francis Marion University, earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After graduation, I spent a year working as a permanent substitute in an elementary school. This is when I decided to return to school and become a certified teacher. I attended the College of Charleston for a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I have worked in Florence 1 Schools since 2008 in several capacities: elementary classroom teacher, Literacy Lab teacher, and ESOL teacher. It is a joy and honor to work with my multilingual learners. I look forward to serving Florence 1 Schools for many years to come.
