Paper is a secure, online tutoring service that provides Florence 1 middle school students with unlimited, 24/7 academic support. Whether they’re stuck on homework, studying for a test, or need someone to read and make suggestions to their essays, there will always be experts available online to assist students in over 200 subjects and more than 4 languages.
Who are the tutors and how do they help?
Paper tutors have been specially trained to conduct expert, academic support in a secure, chat-based platform. With a commitment to helping students learn, they’ll never give students answers, but rather interact with them in an encouraging tone to lead them forward.

Florence 1 middle school students have unlimited, on-demand access to free academic support through Paper.Need someone to talk through a particularly tough math problem? A Paper Tutor will be there to assist students within seconds. Need someone to read an essay and make suggestions on how you can improve it before submitting? A Paper Tutor will be there to assist students.
No matter what a student's academic needs are, Paper’s expert learning assistants are available to help 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Just log in and ask a question! Students can login through ClassLink by clicking on the Paper icon.

Paper is a free resource for all Florence 1 School middle school students. Any student can connect and speak with a tutor for 30 minutes or 6 hours. Their usage will never be capped and families will not have to pay a cent for seeking assistance.
When working with a Paper Tutor, students should not expect to receive answers. Instead, their tutor will ask them guiding questions to get students thinking critically about what they know, what they’ve tried, where any misunderstandings are, and how to move forward.

What hours are Paper’s tutors available?
Paper’s tutors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

How do students use Paper?
Students will log in to Paper through ClassLink. From there students will create their own log in and password (they can even create an avatar). Paper automatically knows their classes, and will ask whether the student needs help with a specific class. Students also have the option to type a question into the chat, pick a specific subject to ask a question about, or select “ask any tutor”. Students can type their questions, upload screenshots of their work, or upload the homework teachers assigned to them.

Can students use Paper on their phone?
If students are able to log in on a desktop computer, that is the better experience. However, it is possible to log in through a mobile browser and receive help that way from Paper’s tutors.

Paper follows strict adherence to federal laws such as COPPA and FERPA. Paper is a signatory of the Student Privacy Pledge and a member of A4L’s Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC). For privacy reasons, video conferencing is not an option for students and tutors.
