Her teaching career began in Lake City, South Carolina, where she taught second, third and fourth grades.Ten years into her career, she made her way back to Delmae to walk the halls of the same elementary school she grew up in. This is her twenty-seventh year of teaching.
She is currently an ELA teacher in second grade in the Language Immersion program. She holds herself and her students to high standards and expectations. She believes teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. It is her hope as an educator to instill the love of learning, because she believes that every child can learn.
