Hello! My name is Carolyn Book.  I am a Reading Recovery teacher at Wallace Gregg Elementary.  I have been a Reading Recovery teacher for 7 years.  Before becoming a Reading Recovery teacher, I taught second and first grade.   The best things about being a Reading Recovery teacher are helping students become independent readers and writers and fostering a love of reading and writing.  I have  my Master's degree in Elementary Educatiion from Francis Marion University.  I received my Reading Recovery training from Clemson University.  

Purpose Statement

My purpose as a Reading Recovery teacher is to instill a love and joy for reading, and to help every child become the best reader and writer they can be!
