About Ms. Knight:

Hello, my name is Ellen Knight.

I'm originally from Florence but have also lived in Greenville, SC; Asheville, NC; and Roanoke, VA.

I love animals, plants, sewing, and reading.

The 2022-2023 year will be my 9th year of teaching, and I've never been so excited!

Did you know…?

• In addition to being an English teacher, I'm training to be a yoga teacher too!

• I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, and 1 crested gecko. 

• I have a very large family, and most of them live in Florence.

You Can Be Successful!

It may sound trite or cheesy, but I truly believe that we can all be successful and make ourselves proud.

Here are some tips for being successful in my class:

• Keep a planner or agenda.

• Read something you enjoy every day (yes, really!)

• Ask questions

• Play to your strengths

• Don't compare yourself to others

• Try, try, and try again!
