My name is Karen Russell and I am so excited to be a part of your child's learning experience at Briggs. I have a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Francis Marion University. I have taught 2K, 3K and 5K at Dewey L. Carter Elementary, Calvary Preschool and Kindergarten, and now at Briggs Elementary. My husband and two children are Briggs alumni and I have come to love this school as much as they did. Every year brings a new group of excited learners and it makes my job as one of their first teachers rewarding and fulfilling. I have a love of reading that was fostered by my own first teacher, my mom, and I want to foster a love for reading in their lives too!
