I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina and have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in studio art and a Masters in the Arts of Teaching Degree in the field of Biology with additonal hours at the graduate level in Biology.  I am originally from Clarendon County, SC and when I married I moved to Florence from Columbia. I  have worked as an educator for over thirty years total in Lake City, SC, Lexington, SC, and Florence, SC.  I was Executive Director of Operations at ScienceSouth for nine years and returned to Florence School District One after its closure in July of 2019. I am currently teaching MYP Biology and AP Environmental Science.  My interests outside of the classroom are scientific illustration/wildlife art and playing blue grass music.  I am looking forward to being your instructor whether virtually or in person this school year!
