As an alumna of South Florence, I am excited about starting my fourth year of education with my Bruin family. I teach US History, African American History, Current Events, and Sociology. I earned my B.A. in American History from the University of South Carolina and my M.A. in American History/African American Studies from the joint program at the College of Charleston and the Citadel. I had the pleasure of working at numerous historical sites before starting my journey in public education. I worked for the Lowcountry Digital History Initiative, Avery Research Center, the National Park Service, and other historical institutions. I am passionate about the study of history and I hope to fully engage my students with the content.
