I am so excited about becoming a part of the Bulldog family at Briggs! I am a native of South Carolina. During my early years, I attended school in Horry County. After graduating from Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I taught math intervention in Horry County to students in 2nd-5th grade. Then my husband and I moved to Maryland for a few years where I taught first grade. While my husband and I enjoyed exploring a new area, it was great news when we had the opportunity to return to South Carolina close to our family, especially after having our daughter. I am thankful to have taught second grade at Greenwood Elementary for several years before joining the fourth grade team here at Briggs.  I take great pride in being a lifelong learner to continue growing in the field of education, so I am currently completing a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instructional Technology. My favorite part of teaching is helping students discover what sparks their curiosity and seeing them run wild with possibilities of opportunity. When I'm not in the classroom, I love making memories with my family. My husband, children, and I enjoy exploring outside and supporting small local businesses, here at home in Florence and while we are traveling. I am happiest when I am by the water, no matter if it is the beach, lake, or river. I can't wait to B.A.R.K with you in fourth grade!
