Dr. Louise Goings
Hi, I'm Dr. Louise Goings. I have been a highly certified educator for seventeen years. I spent sixteen of those years working in the public schools in Dillon County. I have taught high school, middle and elementary. Before retirement, I served 1 year as a curriculum facilitator, 2 years as a middle school assistant principal, and 4 years as an elementary school principal. I am now a returnng, retired educator. I love working with children and decided that I needed to return to the classroom, which is my first love.
My Education and Professional Background
I earned my Ed.D. in School Administration from Concordia College in 2014, a Master's in Supervision from the University of the Cumberlands in 2011, a Master's in Educational Technology from American Intercontinential University in 2004, and a Bachelor's in English from Thomas Edison State College in 2002. I hold an endorsement in Gifted and Talented. I am certified by SCDE in the areas of: Elementary Education, Middle and High School English, Middle Level SS, and K-12 Principal/Supervisor and Superintendency.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe learning occurs when a student is fully engaged in the process, makes a personal connection with the information taught and applies the knowledge to a variety of experiences.
