Linda Dukes

I was raised in Queens New York, from my parents who was born and raised in Florence S.C. / Lamar S.C area. In middle school I focused on being the best track runner I could be.  From running track in Middle School through High School. I was able to run track in Madison Square Garden in New York. I was fortunate enough to have earned 4 track scholarships at the end of  High School. I choose to go to Ohio University to further my track career. At Ohio University I had a great track career and obtained a Masters Degree in Sociology. I am so happy to be the Head Coach for the South Florence/ Southside track team in which my dream is to help as many athletes as I can to have as many opportunities in track that  I had. It can in turn open many more doors in life athletically as well as academically.

For over 20 years I worked in the social service field in Columbus Ohio, from counseling to managing group home. As the years developed I found myself back to my roots in Florence S.C. where I am presently teaching Family and Consumer Science and  and coaching track and happy about it.
