Greetings from Language Arts!  I am Cynthia Sweat, your middle grades Language Arts teacher.  I am honored to be with Rush Academy and guide you through Language Arts.  I truly believe every child can experience success.  For that reason, we will create achievable goals to help you realize success.  We are a diverse group with diverse ability levels, but all of us are able to display growth if we apply strong effort and never give up.  Growth equals learning and that is our purpose.  

Everyone needs an encouraging word and my mission is to encourage, educate, and help you embrace your successes. Be prepared for meaningful assignments designed to help you grow academically.  You are now an important member of the partnership providing support for your endeavors in Language Arts.  Members of that partnership are myself (Ms. Sweat), your parents, and you.  Together, our purpose will be your growth and success.
