Hello! My name is Richard McCabe, and I teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in Florence One Schools. Teaching is my second career. After working for almost two decades in the oil and convenience store industry, I went back to school to become a teacher.  I graduated from Francis Marion University in December 2008 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education.   In 2009, I completed additional classes to gain my ESOL certification. I have been teaching English Learners and working with their classroom teachers in F1S for more than ten years. Helping students to communicate and learn the English language while also learning the content for their grade level is a very rewarding experience.
