I am honored and excited to be apart of the Southside Middle family! I have a love for all children and I strongly believe that a quality education is fundamental to success in the 21st century. It is also my belief that as an educator, it is my responsibility to not only ensure my students have access to a quality education, but that they are empowered to be leaders in an ever-evolving world. My daily decisions, actions, and interactions as an administrator are always done in alignment with my strive to ensure that my students have an ideal educational experience that renders quality standards-based instruction and meets the needs of the whole child.
After graduating from Clemson University, I began my career in education in Florence 1 Schools as a secondary social studies teacher. In addition to Educational Leadership & Supervision certification, I have a Masters in School Counseling. My secondary education experience, as well as the skills I cultivated as a Manager of Teacher Leadership and Development for Teach for America, have equipped me to effectively lead students and educators toward success. In my previous Assistant Principal role, I assisted in the efforts of increasing student academic achievement, decreasing discipline, and improving parent relations. I look forward to accomplishing the same at Southside while building empowering professional relationships with my students!
