Ursa Major
Ursa Major, more commonly known as Yearbook, is a course that any student could join. In Yearbook, these students help to create a yearbook that is given to every student that orders one at the end of the year, all while making sure that it is an accurate reflection of clubs, people, athletics, and other events that occurred throughout the year.

Teacher Cadets
Teacher Caders are all about learning the highs and lows of what teachers do each and every day, as well as the hard work and dedication that is put into doing different and various tasks within the classroom. From learning someting as simple as making lesson plans, to helping elementary school children learn new things, these Bruins involved in Teacher Cadets get exceptional, hands-on experience in learning how to educate other minds.

SGA (Student Government Association)
Student Government, or SGA, is a student-led organization that allows students to express their leadership abilities, all while providing them with a way to voice their own opinions. These students are elected into positions to represent their classes, and help to create some of the most memorable events for the entire school throughout the year. PEARLS
PEARLS offers a space for young women at South Florence to work diligently and find ways to volunteer their time to assist within their community. PEARLS offers a space where young women can be mentored and encouraged by other females, and creating a strong and positive outlook on life.

Spanish Club
Lead by Mrs. Rodriguez, students involved in Spanish Club meet together after school to work on fun projects together and learn more about Spanish heritage and traditions! Spanish Club also tries different foods as well, and is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn more about Spanish culture.

International Club
Gaining awareness of one's own culture in addition to others is an appreciable experience for students involved in International Club! International Club teaches students involved about various different cultures, and helping them to gain a solid understanding of cultures and traditions different to their own.

JROTC
Attention on deck! Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps, or JROTC, is a great way to learn the importance of discipline, leadership skills, and how to work together as a team.

Foreign Exchange
For many years, South Florence has been a host school to foreign exchange students! Because most exchange students only stay for a year, they are treated as seniors and can even attend events such as PROM and Graduation.

BNN
The Bruin News Network, more commonly known as BNN, is produced each and every morning at South Florence, by South Florence students! BNN provides the school with information important for the week, as well as minor announcements.
BNN is also a great chance for students to gain experience working in a broadcast studio with state of the art equipment, and to gain a knowledge of what actually happens behind the scenes of a news station. Tune in every Monday - Friday for the latest episode!

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)
FCA allows students to come together and have fellowship with one another before school every Friday. FCA has had various speakers each and every week, and allows students to share their faith with one another. You do not have to be an athlete to attend!

BETA Club
Beta Club is for select studetns to enter, as long as they have all A's and B's with a minimum GPA of 3.75 to be accepted. Everyone inducted proved how hard working they were, collecting service hours in various ways by reading books to children, collecting cans, and even cleaning the Florence community!

Book Club
Readers are Leaders, and these Bruins show that saying to be true in every possible way! Lead by Mrs. Gaston, students involved in South Florence's Book Club meet in the library to discuss the various books that they have read not only during their own time, but as a group together as well.

Gamerz Club
Whether they're playing older games on classic consoles or the newest releases, these Bruins will do anything to "level up" and rise above the competition! The Gamerz Club meets throughout the year every Thursday, and is an opportunity for students interested in gaming to showcase their skills.

Academic Team
Academic Team competes in different academically inclined competitions against other schools, improving not only their minds, but their drive to learn more and become the best possible students they can be! Teamwork is crucial to Academic Team, and these students work together to be successful in each and every competition!
