Dr. Brian Phillips

Dr. Phillips began his career in teaching twenty-eight years ago after receiving his B.S. in Education from Appalachian State University in 1990.  He received his M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from UNC-Pembroke in 1995 and his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from FSU in 2002. During this time, he served as assistant principal and principal at a 6-8, K-8 and a K-5 school and was named Moore County’s Principal of the Year in 2003.  At both schools where he served as principal—Highfalls Elementary (K-8) and Carthage Elementary (K-5), the schools excelled from expected growth to high growth.  In 2001, Carthage Elementary was awarded the Title 1 Distinguished School Award by the North Carolina Association of Compensatory Educators.  Shortly after receiving his doctoral degree, he was promoted to Associate Superintendent for Moore County Schools where he supervised elementary, middle and high schools.

Mrs. Joselyn Davis-Williams

Mrs. Davis-Williams graduated from Bishopville High School in (1993) and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education (1998) from South Carolina State University, Master of Education Degree (2001) in Counselor Education (K-12) from South Carolina State University, and Education Specialist Degree (2003) in Education Administration and Leadership from Cambridge College.   She has a wealth of experience in many different areas beginning as a 7th grade ELA/SS teacher in Orangeburg District 5 in 1998, relocating to Richland One in 2000 as a Middle School Teacher (ELA, Sci, Math, & SS) and gaining experience as a School Counselor for three years.  After relocating to Charlotte in 2007, she gained experience as a Career Specialist in York One.  Upon returning to Richland One, Mrs. Davis-Williams, has gained experience as an AAP Facilitator, Reading Specialist, and a Curriculum Facilitator.  Additionally, she has certifications as a Read to Succeed Teacher & Coach and Gifted & Talented.  She received National Board Certification in School Counseling in 2009 and renewed in 2019.

Mrs. Davis-Williams is excited to be joining Tiger Nation as an Assistant Principal since 2020 and look forward to working with all stakeholders.

Dr. Kevin George

Dr. Kevin George has served as an Educator for the past 21 years.  During that time, he has taught in the areas of Science and Special Education.  Additionally he has Supervised and Mentored Student Teachers seeking their Special Education Credential in the State of South Carolina through Walden University’s College of Education.  Dr. George has served as an Assistant Principal within an Alternative School setting in which he collaborated in the development of a Flexible Learning Program which was aimed at providing a pathway to graduation for students that experienced difficulties in the traditional school setting. 

Dr. George attended Francis Marion University for completion of his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Sociology and his graduate degree in Teaching Students that have Learning Disabilities.  He later obtained his Administrative Credential from Lamar University along with completion of his Doctorate of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University.  His dissertation research study centered on improving student behavior through use of corrective feedback.

Mrs. Letitia Plowden

Responsible for the School Counseling Office, school counselors, and career development specialists.

Mrs. Plowden is also responsible for 9th Grade Repeaters, Early College and Dual Credit students, Scholarship Information, Virtual School and APEX students, Alternative School Students, NCAA Eligibility, Transcript Evaluations (New students), and Special Programs.

Mrs. Lashonda Williams-Shaw

Mrs. Williams-Shaw is the testing coordinator for Wilson High School and Williams Middle Schools. Her responsibilities include scheduling and overseeing all standardized testing done at school.
