Hello and welcome to First Grade! We are going to have a wonderful school year! I cannot wait to get to know you and show you how fun learning can be.

I have always wanted to become a teacher. When I was a little girl, I lined up my baby dolls and stuffed animals and played school. Since then, my love for teaching has continued to grow. I enjoy teaching because I get to see the excitement as my students learn new skills.

In 2004, I graduated from Francis Marion University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. In 2008, I earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University. In 2010, I earned a National Board Teacher Certification. In 2013, I earned a M.Ed. in Montessori education from St. Catherine's University.  In 2019, I renewed my National Board Certification. 

Building relationships with students and parents is an important part of my classroom. Parents play a crucial role in their child's education. For this reason, I look forward to working with both you and your child this school year!
