Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) are computerized assessments that adapt to student responses during testing. Students in grades 1-6 are assessed in reading, language usage, and mathematics during the fall and the spring. Third through sixth grade students are also assessed in science. These assessments provide teachers with immediate feedback that can be used to tailor instruction to individual student strengths and weaknesses.

The Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS) is administered to all students in grades 4-8 in South Carolina. PASS includes tests in science, and social studies. These tests are aligned to the state standards.
