Megan Benekin begins her first year as a School Counselor and at Greenwood Elementary in the 2021-2022 school year. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Francis Marion University and her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Liberty University. She has worked in the field of Social Services for over 5 years and has volunteered and interned throughout the school district as well. 

Her focus is providing guidance lessons (i.e. study skills, conflict resolution, bullying, etc...) to each grade level to assist with instilling various character traits and life skills. She will also provide individual, small group, and educational counseling as it is needed.
