Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. A. Stinson
My educational career began in 2006 after I graduated from Columbia College with an Early Childhood Degree. I taught Second Grade for two years, and then I became a Gifted and Talented Teacher. Teaching was very rewarding for me, but I soon learned that school counseling would become my ultimate passion. In 2016, I graduated from Winthrop University with a Masters Degree in Counseling and Development.
As a School Counselor, I believe all children are capable of learning when their developmental needs are being met, personally, academically, and socially. It is my mission to support students during this development by supporting them in finding coping mechanisms for circumstances that occur in life. To achieve my mission, I will implement individual and small group counseling as well as classroom guidance lessons. I will also collaborate with parents, faculty, and other stakeholders.
