Southside School Library is the community commons for the Southside Cubs. At Southside, we strive to engage all students and promote a love for inquisitive learning. Listen to and follow our student-produced podcast here. SSM Library's Book Podcast: book reviews with no spoilers! Our MakerSpace Club participated in the Cardboard Challenge. This is a yearly global event that allows students to use their imagination to create something new out of supplies that are readily available. Students use cardboard boxes and materials that would otherwise be recycled or trashed to create something completely new. Our winner was Amber Green. She received a $10 Chik-Fil-A giftcard for her ferris wheel design.

Mrs. Dawkins
Mrs. Dawkins is our school librarian. She earned her Masters in School Library Science from the University of South Carolina. Prior to becoming a librarian, she was a middle school ELA teacher for 10 years and an instructional literacy coach for 7 years. This is her third year as a librarian.
