I am Kasandra Durant, the Literacy Coach, at McLaurin Elementary School in Florence, SC. I am a graduate of Francis Marion University with a B.S. and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education. I also graduated from Grand Canyon University with a M.Ed. in Education Administration.  My teaching experiences have been in grades 1st-4th and Adult Education before serving as the Literacy Coach at McLaurin.   I have the South Carolina Read To Succeed Reading Teacher endorsement as well as the Literacy Coach endorsement.  I love children and believe that ALL children can learn!  I love working with the children of McLaurin, their teachers, and parents to help enhance reading!
